The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake near Helena Tuesday night.
The USGS reported the 3.1 magnitude quake shook the area two miles north of Helena and 24 miles west, northwest of Enid at 10:06 p.m.
The earthquake was more than six miles deep.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
