Two people were injured in a tanker explosion near Stillwater, Monday morning.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers responded to a tanker explosion just before 10 a.m., south of Stillwater, on Highway 177 and E. 80th Street.
According to Payne County Sheriff's office, workers were welding on a tanker inside a shop when it exploded. Two people have been transported by a helicopter to the hospital. They are believed to be in good condition.
The building sustained minor damage after a lid on the tanker blew through the roof, according to the Sheriff's office.
Crews have cleared the scene.
