Choctaw's 'Camp Inferno' Aims To Spark Firefighting Interest Among Women

The Oklahoma City Fire Department will take part in an event designed to spark interest among women to pursue careers in the fire service. ‘Camp Inferno' is a women's firefighting camp where women get a hands-on look at what it's like to be a firefighter in Oklahoma.

The two-day camp is for women at least 16 years old.

The camp is on Oct. 4 and 5 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw. The facility is at 4601 N Choctaw Road.
