City officials in Moore are planning an open house and reception for its newly completed $50 million sewer plant that apparently no longer smells. The Wastewater Treatment Center is located on the 4000 block of the S I-35 service road.
City leaders will be at the facility on Tuesday at 2 p.m. for the event. Representatives from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and the Oklahoma Water Resources Board will also be there.
City officials said this new facility was funded by taxpayer dollars. The project increased the capacity of the plant and allowed new technology to be used for odor elimination and treatment, according to a news release.
