Fire crews spent hours working to contain a fire after a Norman restaurant went up in flames overnight.
Police evacuated the On The Border restaurant, located at 3000 William Pereira in Norman, after it caught fire around 1 a.m. early Saturday morning.
Five fire stations were called out to help fight the fire that continued to burn for hours. Firefighters were forced out of the building once the roof began to collapse.

Fire officials believe the restaurant sustained significant damage.
"It appears that it may have started…the fire extended into the attic area and it was difficult to get to it," said Jim Bailey, Norman Fire Department deputy chief. "Crews couldn't get to it initially because of the height of the ceilings and the heat that drove them back out, so what you're seeing mostly burning is the roof area; so you've got all that material that's on fire."
Fire officials said there were people inside the restaurant when the fire started. No injuries have been reported at this time, and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
