Former Thunder Assistant Cheeks Fired By Pistons

Yahoo! Sports first reported on Sunday that the Pistons have fired former Thunder assistant coach Maurice Cheeks.
Cheeks was 21-29 in his first season in Detroit and is 305-315 as an NBA head coach with previous stints in Portland and Philadelphia.
Cheeks was an assistant coach for the Thunder from 2009-13 and played a significant role in developing Oklahoma City's guards, namely Russell Westbrook.
Cheeks played point guard in the NBA from 1978-1993.
Detroit has not named an interim coach.
