Man In Wheelchair Critical After Being Hit By School Bus In NW OKC

Authorities say a man in a wheelchair is in critical condition after being struck by a school bus Tuesday afternoon in northwest Oklahoma City.

It happened at about 4 p.m., at 5501 N. Portland in Oklahoma City.

According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, a Putnam City Public Schools' bus hit a wheelchair-bound man, who was crossing the road at that time.

The man, who is about 55 to 60 years old, has been transported to the OU Medical Center in critical condition.

A driver and two students were on board the school bus at the time of the crash. They were not injured.

Authorities have not identified the wheelchair-bound man at this time.
