Authorities Investigate Trooper-Involved Shooting In Norman

Authorities are investigating a trooper-involved shooting in Norman Sunday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, troopers were responding to the report of a road rage on the side of Interstate 35 southbound, just north of Tecumseh Road in Norman.

Two people were arguing as troopers arrived at the scene. At one point, a trooper shot one person. That person has been transported to the OU Medical Center in an unknown condition.

It is unknown at this time why the trooper opened fire at the suspect.
