Construction Worker Dies On OU Campus

The University of Oklahoma has confirmed a construction worker died Monday while working on a project on campus.

According to university spokeswoman Catherine Bishop, Lippert Construction is building on OU's Research Campus. On Monday, paramedics were called to the site when an unidentified worker was injured.

The injury was fatal, but the university is not saying how the accident happened. The worker's name has not been released.

State regulators and Lippert Construction are investigating the accident.

Bishop says the university is saddened by the accident, and sends its heartfelt sympathy to the worker's family, friends and co-workers.
