Enid Man Drowns In Kaw Lake In Kay County

Crews have recovered the body of an Enid man who drowned in Kaw Lake in Kay County Friday afternoon.

Crews have recovered the body of an Enid man who drowned in Kaw Lake in Kay County Friday afternoon.

It happened at 3:15 p.m. near the Bear Creek Cove on Kaw Lake.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 70-year-old Billy Ging was en route to tow his grandson's boat back to shore when his own boat flipped over.

Ging was partially wearing a life vest. It was wrapped around his arm.
