Police, Family Look For Answers In Case Of Missing Holdenville Man

Foul play is suspected in the disappearance of a man in Holdenville.

Police and relatives of the man who lives in the home that was raided by officers are still trying to piece together how 33-year-old Eric Stephens and the resident Kyle Morris knew each other and where both men are now.

"For sure there's nothing in that house, there's no dead bodies, no blood, nothing in a bag, or anything that I saw that would make people think that there's been a mass killing here," Charley of Seminole, Kyle Morris' Uncle. "Nothing in there except for trash from the way they came to search the house."

Police say Stephens was last seen in Morris' home a week ago, but Morris' Uncle Charley says he doesn't know Stephens and he hasn't seen his nephew all month and can't reach him.

"I want him to be able to come in and prove his innocence that he didn't do this," Charley said. "I don't know their reasons behind the way they went in and did what they did."

Detectives didn't find anything in the home and just want to question Kyle. Charley says Kyle has had his run-ins with the law before, but has nothing to do with Stephen's disappearance.

"I've never known this man to be like that," he says. "Just like any other family member, you would never see your family member do something what rumors say he has done."

Holdenville Police Chief Keith Wardlow says the reason Morris' home was raided was because he held two of his relatives hostage at gunpoint six years ago and fired shots, so officers didn't want to take any chances this time.

Investigators are still gathering interviews and trying to find other people of interest.
