Oklahoma's Own Gary England To Be Inducted Into OK Hall Of Fame

Oklahoma's Own Gary England has been selected for induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.

Gary England has been protecting the people of Oklahoma since joining the News 9 team as Director of Meteorology in October 1972. He will be formally inducted into the hall on November 7, 2013.

Gary England joins a long list of Oklahomans recognized by the Oklahoma Hall of Fame which has honored 655 Oklahomans since its founding in 1927. Hall of Fame inductees' names are on display at the Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum, along with busts and portraits. Granite monuments also honor these individuals in the Heritage Plaza at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds.
