RNC Chairman, Oklahoma House Speaker To Meet In OKC

The chairman of the Republican National Committee plans an appearance Monday in Oklahoma City.

Chairman Reince Priebus is scheduled to meet with reporters Monday afternoon at the Oklahoma State Capitol alongside Oklahoma House Speaker T.W. Shannon.

The national party says Priebus is focusing on growing and renewing the Republican Party by highlighting "rising stars" such as Shannon.

Shannon is a Republican from Lawton and is the first African-American to serve as House speaker in Oklahoma.
