MACU's Christian Hill Named Conference Pitcher Of The Week

After pitching the Mid-America Christian University Evangels to their second victory over a ranked opponent in the last nine days, Mid-America Christian University freshman hurler Christian Hill has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

The Lawton, Okla. native was spectacular in pitching a complete game shutout over the No. 2-ranked Oklahoma City University Stars this past Saturday (Apr. 6). Hill blanked the Stars over seven innings in the 1-0 win and allowed only six hits with five strikeouts.

Hill also defeated then No. 6-ranked Rogers State University 2-1 on Mar. 28 in Claremore, Okla, giving up only one run on four hits with three strikeouts.

Hill and the Evangels will next play a doubleheader Tuesday at McPherson College. The first game is set to begin at 4 p.m. in McPherson, Kan.
