Two suspects sparked a police chase early Friday morning in northwest Oklahoma City when a driver quickly spun his car right in front of an officer.
Around 1:15 a.m., the officer was near N.W. 15th Street and McKinley when the driver performed a "donut" then sped away. The officer tried to pull over the car, but the driver refused to stop.
Police chased the car through downtown, up Interstate 235 and back west to N.W. 122ND Street.
The chase ended near N.W. 116th Street and Shartel when the car began to lose some of its tires. Police immediately caught one suspect, but the other jumped out of the car and ran. He has not been caught.
Police say the man they arrested could be charged with driving with a suspended license and other offenses related to his attempted getaway. The suspect's name has not been released.
This is the fifth high-speed police in the metro in the last 48 hours.
