American Cancels Flights At Will Rogers World Airport As Snowstorm Nears

American Airlines canceled all of its afternoon arriving and departing flights Monday as a snowstorm slammed into western Oklahoma and inched closer to the Oklahoma City metro.

According to the Will Rogers World Airport website, all American Airlines flights scheduled after 1 p.m. were canceled. Airport spokesperson Karen Carney says American Airlines has also canceled Tuesday morning flights in and out of Will Rogers.

The airport remains open. Carney encourages travelers to call their airlines before heading to the airport.
