No Serious Injuries In School Bus Accident In Norman

A spokesperson for Norman Public Schools says no one was seriously hurt in a Wednesday morning school bus accident.

The accident happened around 7:50 a.m. in front of Alcott Middle School. A Norman school bus was turning into the parking lot in front of the school when an SUV struck the vehicle. The collision caused the SUV to overturn.

There were about 35 children on board the school bus. No students were hurt, but the driver of the SUV was cut and bruised. However, she suffered no serious injuries.

Norman Police have shut down Garrison from Boyd to Melrose while they investigate the accident. They say the road should be closed until about 10 a.m.
