One day after Alabama crushed Notre Dame to claim its third title and four seasons, the final college football polls of the season are out.
Leading the way for the state of Oklahoma is the Sooners, finishing No. 15 in both the AP poll and the USA Today poll. OU finished the season 10-3 with a share of the Big 12 title before losing to Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl. The No. 15 comes after the Sooners were ranked No. 4 in the preseason version of both polls.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane finished an impressive 11-3 campaign by claiming the No. 25 spot in the USA Today poll. It's TU's first appearance in the top 25 this season and the second time in three seasons they've finished the season ranked. The Golden Hurricane won the Conference USA championship and defeated Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl. TU also earned 34 votes in the AP poll, good for 30th.
Oklahoma State came close in both polls, but the Cowboys ultimately finished the season unranked. OSU finished 29th in both after finishing their 8-5 campaign with a 58-14 beatdown of Purdue in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. The Pokes opened the season ranked No. 19 in both polls.
