Two people are in custody after the body of an 18-year-old man, shot to death, was found in the Shawnee Twin Lakes area.
According to District Attorney Richard Smotherman, after investigators discovered the body they were led back to a residence in McCloud that they believe was the scene of the man's murder.
Smotherman tells News 9 that two people are in custody at this time, one facing a count of first-degree murder and the other facing a count of being an accessory to murder.
The identities of the victim and the suspects were not released and police have not revealed a motive for the killing.
Smotherman is the DA of district 23, which covers Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties.
