The Big 12 Conference announced Monday that punter Tress Way has been named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week for his role in a 24-17 Oklahoma victory at TCU. Way's honor marked the third consecutive week that a member of the Sooners has earned Big 12 Player of the Week accolades. It was the second time in Way's career that he has earned Big 12 POW recognition.

The senior from Tulsa punted seven times for 345 yards (49.3 avg.) against the Horned Frogs, landing two punts inside the 20-yard line. He booted a season-long 75-yard punt in the third quarter, his longest punt of the season and the third-longest of his career. It was his fifth career punt of 70 yards or more.
