The Cowboys will start their 2013 football season against Mississippi State at Houston's Reliant stadium.
The game is part of the inaugural Texas Kickoff Classic hosted by ESPN. It will be August 31st.
This is the first time OSU has played in Houston since 2006 and only the second time at Reliant Stadium where they won the 2002 Houston Bowl over Southern Mississippi.
It's also the first time the Cowboys have played in a neutral-site game since 1998 when they faced Nebraska at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
OSU's Athletic Director Mike Holder says he looks forward to playing in Houston.
"We're excited to open the season in Houston," Holder said. "We have a growing number of Texans attending Oklahoma State and a large alumni base in the area. We will be playing a high-profile season opener in a great stadium. I think our fans will be eager for this matchup all summer."
The Cowboys and Bulldogs have met four times, splitting the wins two each on their home turf. The last time they met was in 1999.
