Oklahoma State goalkeeper AD Franch has been named one of 38 players included on the Hermann Trophy watch list for the upcoming season.
The Hermann Trophy is regarded as the highest individual honor in intercollegiate soccer and the winner is selected by Division I head coaches.
The Cowgirl senior's selection marks the sixth consecutive season an OSU player has made the preseason list. Franch has made the list three straight years, including semifinalist finishes in 2011 and '11. Franch and former Cowgirl Yolanda Odenyo are the only two Cowgirl players to ever be nominated for the prestigious award.
Franch is a two-time All-American and three-time member of the All-Big 12 first team. She has 32 career shutouts and a 0.58 goals-against average. She has led the Big 12 in shutouts every year of her career and set a school record with 12 shutouts in 2011.
The Cowgirls are picked to win their fifth consecutive Big 12 title in 2012 and open their season on Friday against UMKC in Stillwater at 7 p.m.
