Ponca City Police Investigate Possible Drowning Of Boy

The Ponca City Police Department is looking into the death of a 4-year-old boy Monday night.

Police were called to a home in the 400 block of North Ash just after 6 p.m. on July 16. According to police, it appeared Hayden Wierz had drowned in a bathtub. Paramedics tried to revive Hayden and rushed him to the hospital, but they were unable to save him. He was pronounced dead at Ponca City Medical Center.

Although it appears Hayden drown, police are still investigating the case. The State Medical Examiner's Office is performing an autopsy on Hayden's body.
