The Oklahoma Sooners capped off a successful regular season in record fashion Sunday, hitting their 85th home run of the season to top the Iowa State Cyclones 5-1, sweeping the series.

The game was never in doubt for the Sooners (45-8, 19-5), who took a three-run lead in the top of the first, but Georgia Casey put the bow on it in the top of the sixth. With a runner on base, Casey homered over the center field wall, putting OU in front 5-1.

Casey's dinger was the Sooners' 85th of the season, her 10th, tying the OU single-season home run record, set by the 2000 National Championship squad. The Sooners are just three away from breaking the conference record set by Texas two seasons ago.

Keilani Ricketts (28-7) was credited with a win for the outing, giving up just one earned run – a solo home run in the bottom of the second – on three hits in seven innings of service. Tori Torrescano (8-27) received a loss, giving up five earned runs on 10 hits in a seven-inning performance.

Oklahoma will now wait for the NCAA Tournament pairings to come out, as they will host a first-round regional Friday.
