More than 300 members of Oklahoma's 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team will return home from Afghanistan this weekend.
According to the Oklahoma National Guard, two groups of soldiers will arrive at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, at the Army Aviation hanger at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma City.
More than 200 Oklahoma National Guard soldiers were back on Oklahoma soil on Monday, March 12. The soldiers boarded buses in the middle of the night in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and rode all night to get to Oklahoma.

Officials said nearly 2,200 Oklahoma Army National Guard members from the 45th deployed to Afghanistan in June 2011, while another 800 were sent to Kuwait.
