Police Close Investigation Into Murders Of OKC Mom, Daughter

Police end their investigation into the deaths of a mother and daughter in northeast Oklahoma City.

Tara Johnston and her daughter Alli were found dead in their home. Tara's husband, Daniel Johnston, was found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room.

Family members told us they never saw any signs of trouble between the couple. Police took several items from the home during the investigation. A search warrant shows investigators found two shell casings and a gun with three shells still inside. They also took two cell phones from the home.

Police say they believe Daniel Johnston acted alone in the murders. The medical examiner will determine exactly how they died.
