STILLWATER, Oklahoma – Sources confirmed to News On 6 Sports that Oklahoma State wide receiver Michael Harrison is leaving the Cowboy football team.
Harrison had been suspended for the 2012 football season for a violation of NCAA policy.
Harrison caught 20 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns in the 2011 season and was expected to start at wide receiver this upcoming season before his suspension.
But the Cowboys will now have to replace four of their top six pass catchers from last year.
Coach Mike Gundy said that Harrison's personal decisions led to his departure.
Oklahoma State starts spring practices on Monday.
