NORMAN, Oklahoma – If the Sooners had a choice, they probably wouldn't have wanted to even need a comeback.

But the rally they did put together was pretty impressive in and of itself.

OU dug itself out of a 4-0 deficit with some offensive firepower, coming back for a 10-5 over Hartford on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks scored one run in the top of the first and three in the second to take an early lead.

But the Sooners managed to cut it down to 4-3 by the end of the third inning.

The big turn in the game came in the fifth inning for the Sooners as Caleb Bushyhead put up a two-run triple to give the Sooners their first lead of the game. He ended the day statistically with three hits, three runs and two RBIs.

One of the biggest highlights of the game came in the sixth when freshman Hunter Lockwood picked up his third home run of the season, though not in conventional fashion.

Lockwood sent a deep shot to left center in the sixth and made his way around the bases for an inside the park homer.

After the initial 4-0 run, the Sooners allowed just one run for the remainder of the game (in the seventh inning) and managed all 10 of their own in that same time span.

Jordan John got the win in relief for OU, pitching six innings and giving up one run and four hits.

Oklahoma (3-2) has taken the first two games of the series and will look for the sweep on Sunday at L. Dale Mitchell Park. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
