A drug bust in Spencer ends with four arrests.
According to Spencer Police, officers raided a home located at 3300 North Douglas in Spencer around 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Altogether nine people were detained and four of them arrested for numerous drug charges and weapon violations.
The raid was conducted in a joint effort between Spencer police, Midwest City police and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.
"Over the past year, there has been information coming in about this house, that drugs are being sold at this house," said Chief Virgil Green with the Spencer Police Department. "Midwest City police had some good information that led us to getting a search warrant for that house."
Chief Green said they recovered some drugs and drug paraphernalia found inside the home. He also said some children live in the home, but we're at school during the raid.
"No children were in harm's way, but some children do live at the house," he said.
No word on what will happen to the children. Green said the main goal is to get drugs out of the community of Spencer, so they don't flow into surrounding communities such as Midwest City and Oklahoma City.
"This isn't the last house we'll be conducting this type of investigation on," said Green. "We just want to make sure the citizens of Spencer know that the Spencer Police Department is doing what we can to put a dent in the crime in this city."
Green said the investigation into Thursday's drug raid is ongoing.
