Sooners Release 2012 Football Schedule

A day after the Big 12 released its conference schedule, the Oklahoma Sooners announced their three non-conference games Wednesday, taking on Notre Dame, UTEP and Florida A&M to round out a 12-game 2012 season.

Highlighting the non-conference schedule is the Week 9 matchup against the fighting Irish, just the ninth meeting between the two teams all-time. The record favors Notre Dame, who have won eight of the meetings all-time, including a 34-30 win in their last meeting 13 years ago.

Oklahoma will open the season on the road, taking on the UTEP Miners Sept. 1, followed by the Sooners' home opener against Florida A&M, the first-ever meeting between the two.
