A new burlesque business opens in Bricktown, but some are questioning its form of entertainment.
The owners call it a mixture of art and entertainment. From the trapeze to the slips to the live band your eyes will be glued to the entertainment at the Dollhouse.
"The burlesque of the 1950's is so different from what's happening today and what is happening here at the Dollhouse. It's a tasteful example of an art form that is so joyous and wonderful to watch," Marilyn Artus said.
A spokesperson from the Bricktown Association wanted to ensure the environment was family friendly. Owners say it is just what Oklahoma needs, sophisticated adult entertainment.
"The Thunder came here then Chesapeake and Devon and now the Dollhouse. It will be an experience like you can't get anywhere else in Oklahoma," Artus said.
Guests must be 21 for entry. There is a full bar and it's a smoke free club. Cover charges range from $10-20 depending on the performance.
