A federal judge is hearing arguments from both attorneys representing protestors with the Occupy OKC movement, as well as city leaders.
The judge is being asked to decide whether or not protestors with Occupy OKC will be allowed to stay in Kerr Park during the overnight hours. Last week, protesters filed a lawsuit in federal court after city officials declined to renew the group's permit to stay in Kerr Park. The protesters have kept a continuous presence in the park for almost two months.
A federal judge granted Occupy OKC's request for a temporary restraining order to keep police from forcing them out of the park until a hearing and ruling on the preliminary injunction could take place.
The judge said he plans on looking over all the evidence presented, including a two-hour long videotape of one of the Occupy OKC's general assembly meetings.
