Despite the bye week, the Oklahoma Sooners moved up one spot to No. 5 thanks to losses by Stanford and Boise State, while Oklahoma State held on to its No. 2 spot in the newest BCS Rankings, unveiled Sunday.
The Cardinal and the Broncos both stumbled in their last major tests of the season and the Sooners took advantage and inched one spot closer to a BCS National Championship berth. However, Oregon, with the win over Stanford, jumped the Sooners and places OU as the third-ranked one-loss team.
Oklahoma State continues to solidify its No. 2 spot in the rankings, gaining .02 in its BCS average ranking for Week 12. The Cowboys are still in a dead heat with the LSU Tigers in the computer ranking, with a .980 average, but gained one spot in the USA Today/Coaches Poll.
