BETHANY, Oklahoma -- One week ago today, police found Carina Saunders' body in a duffel bag in Bethany. As police work leads in the investigation, loved ones prepare to say their final goodbyes.

Family and friends will gather for Saunders' memorial service Friday morning. Her family says they want Saunders to be remembered for more than her brutal murder.

Every picture of Saunders tells a story that only a family can share. From the memories of her grandfather to the admiration of her aunts, the family of Carina Saunders wants everyone to remember her as the woman they will never forget.

The family is still in shock over the murder of their loved one and angry at the person responsible.

Her aunts say while everyone can make a mistake in life, Saunders was trying to fix hers. The family says Saunders recently attended a rehab facility. And just a few weeks before her disappearance, she committed her life to Christ.

The family said Saunders is a Christian, loved to sing, and hoped to be a parent someday.

The family said Saunders had a bright future, but now all they have are memories from the past.

The family expects hundreds of loved ones to be in attendance for the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mustang Nazarene Church.
