SPENCER, Oklahoma – Police seized over 8,000 bootleg DVDs from a flea market in Spencer Saturday morning. The Spencer Police Department reported.
According to a press release from police, the illegal DVDs were found at Mary's Swamp Meet, a flea market located near Northeast 23rd Street and Midwest Boulevard in Spencer.
Police said they had received information that some vendors at the market were setting up and selling firearms. While they were investigating the selling of firearms, officers were informed about a vendor selling the DVD's.
As police arrived, they discovered several DVDs that are still out in major theaters such as "Apollo 18" and "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollow part II." Police said the person at the store wasn't the owner, and she said she didn't know how to reach the store operator.
According to police, no arrest was made in this case. However, the owner of the store will be facing criminal charges for the illegal selling of DVD movies.
