OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police are investigating a possible attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl as she walked home.
During the week of September 12, the Jefferson Middle School seventh grader was walking near the corner of S.W. 43rd Street and Johnston when she says a car started following her. She says the man inside suddenly grabbed her arm and told her to get inside his car.
The child says she managed to slip from the man's grasp and hit him in the groin with her backpack. She then ran to a pawn shop to get help.
Police say the man was driving a gold, four-door vehicle. He is described as white, in his mid 30s, and clean shaven with dark brown hair. He stands about 5 feet 9 inches tall and has a medium build.
Police say they have some doubts about the story, but they are investigating. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300.
