OKLAHOMA CITY -- Anthony Morrison and Emanuel Mitchell have been sentenced in the robbery of Reliable Pharmacy where Antwun Parker was shot and killed by Jerome Ersland.
Morrison has been sentenced to Life in prison plus 35 years. The judge said that Morrison is as guilty as Ersland in the death of Parker. When Morrison was let out he said "He's innocent and they are sending an innocent man to jail."
Mitchell received the same sentence of Life in prison plus 35 years. Mitchell told the judge that Ersland was the murderer not him, and asked the judge to "bend himself to God" for putting an innocent man (Mitchell) in jail.
Both Morrison and Mitchell have a chance of parole.
Prosecutors said Anthony Morrison and Emanuel Mitchell planned the robbery of Reliable Pharmacy in May 2009. Pharmacist Jerome Ersland shot and killed 16-year-old robber Antwun Parker. Under Oklahoma's felony murder law, Morrison and Mitchell were charged with Parker's death because he died during the crime.
