OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City's new convention center is another step closer to being built.
The MAPS 3 Convention Center Committee unanimously voted Wednesday that the center be constructed west of the Oklahoma City Arena in the old Ford car lot. On Thursday, the Citizen Advisory Board unanimously voted for the recommendation.
Oklahoma City council members will consider the plan at its meeting July 5.
