OKLAHOMA CITY -- Norman and Noble customers still without power following Tuesday evening's windstorm will get assistance from OG&E.
The company announced Wednesday it would provide dry ice to help preserve food in refrigerators and freezers to Norman and Noble customers still without power.
Customers can pick up dry ice, free of charge, at Airgas, 2505 S. Purdue in south Oklahoma City. The location is just north of S.W. 29th Street, between Meridian Ave. and MacArthur Blvd.
OG&E customers affected by the storm need only present their driver's license with a Norman or Noble address. Dry ice will be available for pick-up Wednesday until 6 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"Given the extent of the damage from this storm, we expect that restoration of service for some customers could take a day or two," said OG&E spokesman Brian Alford. "For customers without power, we recommend they try to avoid opening their refrigerators and freezers."
OG&E urges customers who have not reported their power outage to call OG&E at 405-272-9595.
