WYNNEWOOD, Oklahoma – The Wynnewood Refinery is returning to normal operations after an explosion rocked the plant Sunday.
It's not the first time there's been a fire or explosion at the refinery and officials are still investigating the cause of the blast. There were no injuries in the incident.
Officials said the fire was limited to an area associated with a heat exchanger and was quickly brought under control by refinery personnel.
The refinery processes about 55,000 barrels of crude oil each day, making gasoline, propane and other fuels. The refinery won't be fully operational until all the damage is repaired.
