OKLAHOMA CITY -- A group of metro high school students were out spreading holiday cheer with Oklahoma war heroes.
The students from El Reno High School spent a couple of hours at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, visiting with veterans. The program is called "Gift for Yanks," and it's been going for generations.
Friday, students brought along gifts, a dose of Christmas carols, and a lot of thank yous.
"And really the greatest gift of all, is us being here and being able to visit with them. I don't think they really care what's in the gift itself, I think they really enjoy seeing us, and we enjoy seeing them," said El Reno junior Aaron Gooden.
El Reno High School has been visiting with veterans for sixty years.
