OKLAHOMA CITY -- Numerous Facebook users reported problems with the popular social networking site Thursday afternoon.
Facebook addressed the issue on its official Twitter page stating, "Facebook may be slow or unavailable for some people because of site issues. We're working to fix this quickly."
However, about 5 p.m. Facebook posted, "We've resolved the tech issues that caused the site to be unavailable for some people. Everyone should now have access."
Officials with the site have not said what caused the issue.
Facebook reported experiencing issues earlier this week, including an issue with a "third-party network provider" on Wednesday that was not allowing users to connect to Facebook.
Facebook users and fans took to Twitter to voice their frustrations and even poke fun of the site issues.
"Facebook users are roaming the streets in tears, shoving photos of themselves in people's faces and screaming 'DO YOU LIKE THIS? DO YOU??'" said Twitter user TheDollSays.
"Facebook isnt working. What would happen if Twitter and Facebook weren't working at the same time? Where would we complain about it?" wrote KourtneyJessica on Twitter.
"its offically the end of the world as we know it... Facebook Isnt Working," said deanaction on his Twitter account.
