FLETCHER, Oklahoma – A grassfire destroyed over 200 acres near Fletcher Sunday evening.
Fletcher, Sterling, Elgin and Cove Acres volunteer fire departments responded to the blaze at about 5 p.m. Cyril and Cement volunteer fire departments assisted from Caddo County, along with the Comanche County Sheriff's Office.
No injuries were reported from the fire and no structures were damaged.
Firefighters had contained the flames by 7 p.m., but high winds made it difficult.
The cause of fire is unknown at this time. It began near Interstate 44 and King Road.
