OKLAHOMA CITY – September is TotalCare month in Oklahoma City where residents can change their participation in EMSA's program that helps with emergency transportation costs.
Almost 200,000 Oklahoma City households participate in TotalCare.
Participants don't have to pay out-of-pocket expenses for EMSA emergency ambulance rides given to permanent members of their home, regardless of their age or relationship to the utility account holder. The program is $3.65 per month and can be added to resident's utility bill.
For more information on the program, call Utility Customer Service at 297-2833 or log on to the TotalCare website. Changes can only be made from September 1-30.
The program covers EMSA emergency transports within the entire EMSA service area, which includes Oklahoma City, Edmond, Bethany, Mustang, Nichols Hills, Piedmont, The Village, Warr Acres, Yukon, Arcadia, Lake Aluma and Valley Brook. Transports in Tulsa, Sand Springs, Bixby or Jenks (cities also served by EMSA) are also covered.
