The community will come together to honor the life of former Oklahoma Governor and University of Oklahoma President David Boren.

Memorial service set for former Oklahoma Gov. David Boren

Boren passed away in February at the age of 83.

David Boren, former Oklahoma governor, US senator, OU president, dies at 83

A public memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday at Saint Luke's Methodist Church, near Northwest 15th Street and Broadway Avenue.

A reception will be held at the church following the service.
