Enid Police Make an Arrest in Deadly Shooting

ENID, Oklahoma -- Enid police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting.

Police said 36-year-old Roderick Chester shot 26-year-old Michael Belcher Monday night near the intersection of 16th Street and Chestnut. The two had been involved in an altercation.

Belcher was transported to St. Mary's Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Chester was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder. He was booked into Garfield County Detention Center. Bond has not been set in the case.
