OKLAHOMA CITY -- Billy Coyle has won the Democratic primary for U.S. House District 5.
"It is time that my generation steps up and starts fighting for this Country. I am tired of Big Government, Big Politics, and Big egos. I will fight with every ounce of heart for Oklahoma every day. I will put Oklahoma first for a change and not a political party. I have never run for political office before and am doing this for the people of this district," said Coyle.
Coyle said he loves Oklahoma and plans to show America Oklahoma values if elected in November.
Coyle won by over 58 percent of the vote. His opponent was Tom Guild.
Republicans Kevin Calvey and James Lankford will head to a primary runoff election for U.S. House, District 5 set for August 24.
Coyle and the winner of the Republic primary runoff election will face independent candidates Clark Duffe and Dave White.
