Funeral services have been set for a teen who drowned in Lightning Creek near S.E. 35th Street and Santa Fe Avenue Tuesday night.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Funeral services have been set for a teen who drowned in Lightning Creek near S.E. 35th Street and Santa Fe Avenue Tuesday night.

Thirteen-year-old Gerardo Canales was playing with a friend in the rushing flood waters when he was swept away.

His body was found the next morning in the Oklahoma River near the I-35 bridge.

Canales' funeral has been set for 11 a.m. on Monday at the Saint James Catholic Church at 4201 S. McKinley Ave. in Oklahoma City.

A memorial fund has been set up at Allegiance Bank under the account number 392995.
