OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City, Yukon and Norman city officials have implemented a mandatory outdoor watering ban for all residences and businesses.
Officials said Monday's tornado at the Choctaw Road area knocked out power to the Lake Draper water plant. Both Oklahoma City and Yukon residents have been affected.
"The storms Monday night knocked out all power to the Lake Draper water plant, where we get our water. We're asking everybody to conserve water as much as possible and to stop all outdoor watering," said Yukon City Manager James Crosby
Yukon's water restrictions will be in place until 5pm on Friday, May 14.
Norman city offcials implemented a mandatory outdoor watering ban Monday and have not said when it will be lifted.
