OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City arrested two people involved in an armed robbery set-up.
Wednesday morning, Oklahoma City Police responded to an armed robbery call in the 12400 block of N. Pennsylvania Ave.
When police arrived, they were told a male subject entered the store behind an employee and forced the employee to open the safe. Officers at the scene were able to obtain a detailed suspect vehicle description and broadcast that information to other officers.
An alert officer spotted this vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Robert Walters, 36, was taken into custody and interviewed at Oklahoma City Police headquarters.
Officers learned from Walters that the robbery had been set up by Andrella Hester, 21, the alleged victim and store employee.
Hester and Walters were booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for robbery, as well as conspiracy to commit robbery.
